Wiz and Google (Alphabet): the deal on record

Alphabet announced in March 2025 that Google had agreed to acquire the cloud security company Wiz for USD 32 billion in cash, subject to regulatory approvals. The deal passed a US antitrust review in late 2025 and the European Commission approved it unconditionally in February 2026, according to press reports. Alphabet's quarterly report says Google completed the acquisition on 11 March 2026 for USD 29.5 billion after purchase price adjustments, with Wiz included in the Google Cloud segment.^1,2,4,5,3
